Haemorrhoid surgery recovery

Has anyone else has this, how long did it take to recover? Apparently one of them was so big they could not remove the others because they couldn't be sure there was 'not enough anal tissue' left💀
It is about 5 days and it is really uncomfortable.

Oh bless your cotton socks. It was my most painful recovery..even more painful than vaginal birth. It was a good six to 8 weeks before I felt comfortable again. Eat lots of fibre, drink lots of water, take the laxatives or fibrogel or whatever they give you and for heavens sakes don't push! Sending lots of hugs and healing bibes

Thanks for the response. I went for a poo and it was honestly worse than childbirth and I am so worried that I'll have given myself another haemorrhoid as a result. I was given Laxido but they said to take one or two; I'd only taken one till today, then took two and now I've just had awful diarrhea. I'm sure I have anal fissure as there was a bit of bright red blood when wiping. I was given codeine but don't want to take it as they said it can cause constipation!! 🤯 am allergic to ibuprofen so just taking paracetamol and after that first poo I've just had the worst pain all around my bum.
Is this normal? It just feels so extreme (although I know it was surgery) when I had my pre-op and the initial phonecall with the consultant, as well as on the day itself, it felt very much like it was a very minor thing. Similar to having a skin tag removed or something, Idk
