My daughter has long, extremely thick hair. Please recommend your best buys on budget shampoo and conditioner that work but don’t break the bank.

Aussie range is good. Often 3 for £10

Timotei Hydrating shampoo made a return after being discontinued for many years, it is the best shampoo I have ever used and consistently leaves my hair soft and tangle free. VO5 give me moisture is a good cheap alternative also

I have long, thick, curly hair as does one of my DD’s and Lidl Cien Apple shampoo & conditioner works well and cheap.

Another vote for Tresemme, it lasts forever and leaves hair feeling nourished. Pantene is the one to avoid- every hairdresser I've ever been to says how awful it is for your hair

Herbal essence

The Dream lengths one is great and often on offer. I have the mask tub at the minute and I love it. Doesn’t make my hair greasy or heavy. Smells fab too. My 16 year old dd uses it too, she has really long hair.

Thanks very much everyone!! We’re just finishing a massive bottle of tresemme conditioner so will work way through rest of recommendations when there's offers on.
