I keep receiving scam emails supposedly from Evri about a parcel. Click here to re-route etc etc. Nothing unusual there.
But what is unusual is at the bottom of the emails are email threads from what look like genuine people.
For example the latest one was a lady emailing a recruitment consultant about jobs. The email addresses appear real eg [email protected]
Another one was a man emailing someone at the council asking about a dropped kerb outside his house.
I've googled the email addresses and they belong to real people at real companies.
It really worries me that these peoples' data is being sent around and I was considering letting them know. But then I thought - what if they are somehow involved with the scammers? I suspect they clicked on the link and that's how their data is connected. But obviously I'm not sure.
Plus I don't want to end up connected to these emails.
So I'm probably not going to do anything but it just confuses me.
Does anyone have any ideas?
