Am I right in being embarrassed?

I have driving lessons which my parents pay for. My driving instructor is nice and useful but the sessions are supposed to be for one hour and sometimes the driving instructor brings me home a couple of minutes early. Sometimes it’s because it is too foggy so the lesson needs to be slightly shortened and other times for no reason but it’s only by at most five minutes.

However, my mum always complains about this saying that it’s wasting money since I’m not getting a full one hour lesson even though it’s not like you can learn much extra in five minutes.

My mum literally openly complained to me driving instructor about this. Am I right in being embarrassed by my mum or not?

Why aren’t you complaining, though?

Your mum is right. They are paying for an hour and you are being short changed. I’m sure that there are things he can be teaching you for 5 mins, turn in the road, reverse around corners, parking etc, and not stop the lesson early

Does he ever extend the lessons or are they always cut short?

Why are you embarrassed about her complaining? She's absolutely right to complain if he's regularly ending lessons early I'm surprised you haven't complained to him about it yourself to be honest. 5 minutes most lessons soon adds up.
