Always throwing things!

Sodding toddler, mostly food/drinks but also toys.
Has no aim at all, literally chucks things in the air.
Whole pot of homous today at a kids party. Also chucked a toy which luckily missed a nearby adult (behind DC, they weren't aiming it at them).

Doesn't seem to be rage induced just doing it cos they can.

Drives me mad but all I can do is get them to help clean it up before they are allowed to do anything else.
I'm fed up of clean yogurt off the walls, etc etc.
I do keep things out of reach as much as possible and ration the portion of food / drinks but eg one inch of water until they've drank it then another top up rather than a whole cup at a time.

Any other tips?

Hi OP. Sorry no advice here but I am in the same boat. My toddler is exactly the same and I'm so tired of it. He's been throwing food for months and months and now it's toys and other things too and getting out of hand. I've tried the not too much food on plate, ignore it, firm no and all the different advice I've read on here but no luck either. I hope your toddler has improved?

When you say toddler how old? As there's a fairly large range there! 15 month old.. wouldn't bat an eyelid... different if still doing it all the time at 3.5!
My 1 year old loves to throw things.

At that age it's mainly damage limitation and alot of patience! It's a frustrating time x
