I've seen at least 3 threads trending this morning because DH/DP has gone on a night out and hasn't been in contact for 2-3 hours.
In the 90s DH went on a 6 month deployment. He rang 6 times. In 6 months. Everything was fine. Even now, when he's away on business, we'll speak, say what's happening for the rest of the evening and that's it. If he's out with clients/colleagues, I go to bed.
Now, people are being told to LTB or 'have strong words' because there's been no contact for a couple of hours. I just dont get it. When did this need for constant contact start?
