Tesco double up rewards thing

I’ve had an email to say my points are worth double and to spend them with one of their partners. From what I can see, it’s mostly days out in England. We are north Scotland and then pizza places and magazines. Nothing takes my fancy. I’ve got about £150 to spend. How do you spend yours?

Disney+, senior railcards.

Raindropskeepfallinonmyhead · 15/11/2024 20:46

Hotels/ferries

Snorlaxo · 15/11/2024 20:47

Disney + here too. I have to renew it with more vouchers every 3 months but worth it for me.

We travel to France a lot so we use ours to pay for a crossing with LeShuttle. A friend takes hers as vouchers for restaurant chains and uses them through the year.

Willooth · 15/11/2024 20:49

Could you use it for railcards?
I buy young persons railcards and 2 together

Pascha · 15/11/2024 20:49

Sometimes cineworld. All the attractions semi locally are not for us really so mostly I save them for Christmas and spend a bit more on that shop now.

RubberDuckyURtheone · 15/11/2024 20:49

Hotels

JingsMahBucket · 15/11/2024 20:50

We’re in Scotland too and so I’ve never bothered with any of their rewards. I just use them as regular Tesco vouchers. That said, maybe we should start using them for our Disney+ subscription instead of paying, like others here.

fruitpastille · 15/11/2024 20:51

As above.
Eurotunnel most summers
Railcards
Pizza express
Occasional days out when we are on holiday and there is a place nearby that is included.

We're in Scotland and we just used all of our points on a spa weekend away in the Borders. It took an age to save up enough, but it was a decent mini getaway. Check out the SpaSeekers website.

Another good rewards partner is Denby. We stocked up on some lovely seconds from their website.

goingdownfighting · 15/11/2024 20:53

Honestly unless I was going to these places anyway, just spend it on your Christmas shop.

WishingForTheImpossible · 15/11/2024 20:56

Another one here collecting for Denby and the railcards

SemmaLina · 15/11/2024 21:05

Hotels , Disney + and railcards

louddumpernoise · 15/11/2024 21:06

RAC

Myattention · 15/11/2024 21:15

Thanks all. We don’t use the train, no where near pizza places (rural living), RAC is through our bank account so I think sod it and I’ll just buy a bottle of champagne for Christmas Day! I take it my vouchers go back to £75 if I just use them for my standard shopping? It’s only double if I use one of the partner places? First year with Tesco.

You only get double points with rewards partners. It was triple points until they scrapped that earlier this year, bastards.

MamaBobo · 15/11/2024 21:41

In your shoes I’d just get some Tesco treats for Christmas. TBH the main reason we have a Clubcard is actually the differential pricing.

Myattention · 16/11/2024 06:37

Thanks for helping everyone. Bring on the cheese.

I’m boring and just use mine for the Xmas food shop

Dixie43 · 16/11/2024 06:42

I use my points for Butlins

WhitegreeNcandle · 16/11/2024 06:44

Hate how much clubcard has gone downhill. Especially angered by the removal of double up of delivery saver.

Rant over - I use mine on Denby, rail cards, Disney plus and occasional magazine.

Zonder · 16/11/2024 06:49

Not all that long ago it was FOUR times the value on rewards!

I never use mine on my shopping as you don't get as much "reward" so instead we use them on things we would do anyway.

We always pay for airport parking with them
We pay for a cottage for a family get together every year
We use any left from these two things on a meal out

CeeJay81 · 16/11/2024 06:49

Always family railcard and used them for pleasure beach tickets couple of years ago.

Sherwil16 · 16/11/2024 07:37

I've used partner reward double points for a Senior railcard, view from the Shard and London Bridge experience.
