Flight radar tonight

Just wondering if anyone knows what's going off in the skies where I am. I have the basic flight radar app and it's showing nothing.

I'm in West Yorkshire near Pontefract and for the last 15 mins or so there's been a lot of very loud aircraft overhead. I'm assuming it's military but no idea past that.

Pontefract you say? Isn’t that famous for UFO activity??

Love a bit of flight radar. But I can never decipher any of it.

There's night exercises today, but should be finished now - the poor pilots need their beauty sleep.

Thanks everyone. Yes it's probably from Leeming then as it's less than 50 miles from here.
There was nothing after I posted so likely just the night flying exercises.

@VenusClapTrap @LettuceSpray I know about Todmorden but wasn't aware of anything in Pontefract. Will have to look that up.

Try this instead, you can click on U for just military aircraft globe.adsbexchange.com - it often has things that flight radar doesn't.

If you're very invested, you can probably also join Facebook groups that are linked to whatever bases are near you and you'll find out what's going on that way!
