Have you ever seen karma hit hard?

A lot of my friends don't believe in karma but a few do. Me personally have never seen it happen...have you had any experiences especially when it come to those who have wronged you?

My work pushed me out for getting pregnant. I had to take a settlement agreement and find a new job in a new area - basically start my career again. 2 years later, they went bankrupt and I earned over £650k in salary (turned out I was really good at my new career). Great to get the last laugh. I don't beleive in Karma - but that was an example of it.

TeapotCollection · 13/11/2024 10:41

Kitfish do you mean £65k?

heartbroken22 · 13/11/2024 11:46

@Kitfish that sounds perfect

No, it seems like selfish, lying manipulators usually come out on top. Donald Trump is a great example. So is my ex, who constantly fails upward (despite being unethical and cruel), and who has been able to emotionally and physically abuse my daughter with impunity.

I told my son he shouldn't jump on the bed as he might fall off and hurt himself. Then karma swiftly jumped in, he fell off and hurt himself. I was very impressed.

I hear about them through DH's work when HMRC catches up with them - it's very satisfying.

I do remember one small one from ages ago when a bloke in a big Jag ran a red light and almost hit another car that had to slam on its brakes. Jag man hadn't seen the police car sitting in a line of traffic - until the blue lights went on and it chased after him. Lots of laughter from us all on the bus Grin

Kitfish · 13/11/2024 14:15

Blimey what career pays more than half a million?

ProvincialLady24 · 13/11/2024 14:25

@Kitfish

Would really like to know what role this is!

SirChenjins · 13/11/2024 14:36

You started a new role in a new area - so basically starting your career from scratch - and within 2 years you were earning £650K pa? Doing what?!

DC was in NICU, and there was another baby in the unit with teen parents, who were lovely but very quiet (in shock). The Dad's Mum took it upon herself to tell the nurses what to do with baby, when baby should be dressed, bathed and tubes changed etc, and physically pushed the baby's mum away from the chair next to the incubator so she could 'bond' with her grandchild. Vile woman & the poor parents were completely bulldozed.

A few days later and the parents were talking and turns out his mum had tripped over her hoover and broken her foot, couldn't drive for 6 weeks so would be unable to visit the hospital. The parents turned out to be wonderful with their baby and they decided to apply for their own social housing rather than move in with his mum on discharge. I often think of them

My friend’s partner cheated on them and slept with someone from work. Leaving the colleague’s house the next morning they got knocked down!

travellinglighter · 13/11/2024 15:56

Most horrible human being I know. Racist, sexist, cruel and arrogant. Just diagnosed with brain, lung and kidney cancer.

Wouldn’t have wished it on him but if that’s not karma. Not sure what is.

JackieQueen · 13/11/2024 16:02

My friend was half way across a zebra crossing when the car that was behind the one that stopped for her pulled round and shot across, missing her by inches. Unfortunately for him, the car behind him was an unmarked police car who saw the whole thing and pursued him enthusiastically! My friend was feeling a mixture of fear, amusement and satisfaction!
