Really finding it hard to think of what to buy her.

She doesn't like spa stuff.
She's not keen on afternoon tea.

Not particularly interested in jewellery.

She's having a few health issues so going anywhere wouldn't be suitable.

She loves gardening and reading.
She's said she'd be happy with gardening vouchers...we often buy them for her for Christmas and birthdays so that doesn't all that special.

I'd like to get her some sort of keepsake but as she's not overly interested in jewellery I'm not sure what that would be!

Any ideas?

For my Grandma we went through old family photo slides and did a photo album from 50s/60s/70s plus a few recent ones and left a few pages to add in more recent ones
She loved it, looked at it, showed it to everyone.
As an added bonus we had an evening looking through the slides with her a few weeks before as a family evening and pulled out the ones she talked about most.

A tree/rose bush for the garden? You can get ones that are named things like "special birthday"

We got my DM a good quality bird feeder that could be placed by her patio door and bird feed to attract different types of birds.

@Menowhatdoyoucallit
I've just ordered her a cherry tree!
Thanks for the idea.

We spoke on the phone earlier and she's adamant that she doesn't want any "things"!

So, gardening vouchers, cherry tree and I've also ordered her a book about 1944.

I got DM a fancy bird table for her patio. She loves watching the birds and it doesn't count as stuff if your don't have to keep it in the house!

The bird feeder is a lovely idea but my Dad made an amazing bird feeder for their garden a few years ago so they e got that covered!
