Is there a phone alert for outdoor clothes drying weather?

Does this exist or does anyone techy know how to set it up? I want to be alerted on my phone if the weather predicts it will be a good day for hanging washing on the line outdoors. Does anyone have an app for this type of thing. I'm on android.
Thanks.

Just to add it sends the alert at the time of your choosing.

There's this brilliant thing called 'Take a Chance'.

How it works is this -

You listen to the weather forecast on the radio, watch it on TV, or look at the Met Office website.

Based on that you either put your washing out or not, and if it's out you Take a Chance.

Brilliant. Has worked for years for me.

IFTTT app. You can set up your own alert. It's been possible for well over a decade.

Thank you. This sounds brilliant.

I don't know why everyone is getting so uppity😂

Please get him to make one! To people saying just check the weather forecast, I don't want to have to do this everyday as it's one more thing to think about. I just want something that pops up in the morning on my phone and says it's a good day for doing laundry.

It takes about one minute to look at the Met Office weather app and check whether it's likely to stay dry for the next few hours.

I think it's a good idea too OP. People are so snarky, it's not necessary. My laundry is on now and it might dry according to the Hang My Washing? app. Better to get it a bit drier then bring it in later damp than hang it indoors wet.

There was life before apps, maybe that's why?

Met Office is fine.

Or look out of the window and cross your fingers. Worst case is your washing will get wet.

@Courgettesandonions
I looks at number of weather forecasts.
This one is pretty good. It combines data from several forecasters.
Just put in your postcode.

Depends where you are Op. I follow midland storm chasers on Facebook and they give a fairly frequent washing drying forecast based on sun, humidity and flapiness. Warms my heart.

Yes, stumbled on a few. But I love Washcast, it has a better experience and more details. It’s on the Apple Store.

Look out the window?
Use the Met office weather forecast online?
Oh, edited to say it's a ZOMBIE thread🙁

Is it free?

This is recent compared to some of the ones that popped up. One was 13 years old the other week! It took me right back to when ds was 12!! So much has happened since then!

Funny to see this pop up again today. In the end I made a short cut to 'Laundry Timer' website on my desktop but I kept forgetting to check it and then it didn't seem to be accurate for my location anyway.

I've now bought a dehumidifier to give me more options for drying my clothes indoors in the winter.

I still think there is a niche for something that pings up on my phone saying 'Hey, today's a great day for putting on a wash!'
