But are just irrelevant/funny/dull. Lighthearted post.

I'll go first.
DP's airer placement. He will put one shirt across 3 sections on the airer thus taking up space that could be used for other clothes. It irritates the crap out of me!

Have just finished re arranging the airer and thought is this just me or are there others out there that get wound up by such dull/ silly things?!

The way DH loads the dishwasher, leaving big spaces between the plates. I slot plates in between and he says they won't be clean. They always are!

Ihopeithinkiknow · 08/11/2024 20:59

My daughter always leaves kitchen cupboards open lol I walk in and it's like a poltergeist has been in

henlake7 · 08/11/2024 22:22

Putting me in charge every shift at work....talk about silly!😂

Devilsmommy · 08/11/2024 22:40

My husband knows to leave the loading of the washing machine to me because he just shoves it all in in a ball so it doesn't wash properly 🙄 and he's also useless with an airer too😂

AlexisP90 · 09/11/2024 09:28

DP does the same with the dishwasher too! Drives me wild! I will totally run in when I hear him turn it on and shove some more in there.

It ALWAYS comes out clean!

Hanging clothes on hangers without doing up the buttons. So it inevitably slips off

the80sweregreat · 09/11/2024 09:35

Putting empty cereal packets back in the cupboard. Drives me mad

Meadowfinch · 09/11/2024 09:35

The four local teens who throw their MacD wrappers in my gateway every Friday night. Electric blue Corsa with tape around a wing mirror. I fantasize about collecting a year's worth of rubbish and dumping it through their sun roof. 🙄

Floranan · 09/11/2024 09:49

I have a plastic washing up bowl, my husband is always standing it on its side why ? Petty but bugs me.

people who put glasses right on the edge of the table, my mil was a sod for this, anyone walking past sends it flying, not good with little children running around

rubbish not in the bin, just placed next to it (another DH issue 😂) along with socks dropped near the washing machine - just put them in !

sweet papers back into the quality street - every Christmas (though I have done this myself on the odd occasion just don’t like other people being lazy 😂

edit to add, leaving the last piece of paper on the loo or kitchen roll, just change it !

Alwaystired23 · 09/11/2024 09:53

Definitely, putting the empty wrappers back into the tub of chocolates/sweets. Dh does this 🤬

birdling · 09/11/2024 10:26

DH uses the bread knife to put mustard in his sandwich. We have loads of normal knives, why contaminate our one bread knife with stuff that then means it can't be used again without washing it???

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 09/11/2024 10:28

There's a guy at work that spoke on his water bottle all day long. As soon as he's asked a question..sook. he walks looking it and if he's standing at someone's desk he bites on the straw.
He looks like a baby.

Edited

Surely to drain the water out of it?

KoalaCalledKevin · 09/11/2024 10:45

DH prefers that I don't hang clothes on the airer at all because apparently I do it wrong. Personally I think he does it wrong. But if doing it his way means I don't have to do it all, that's fine with me.

DH's way of starting the microwave irritates me. We have a "30 second" button so if you just want a short time, obviously just press that one once or twice. But he will use that button if he's microwaving something for 10 minutes. He'll press that 20 times rather than just typing in 1 0 0 0. Drives me mad.

People who launch into a description of the tv show they're currently watching.

the80sweregreat · 09/11/2024 14:42

Ds2 who might watch Eastenders with me for a few minutes a month ( or at Christmas) and start asking me questions! I have trouble following it all sometimes, let alone telling him nearly 40 years of plots and family soap relationships 😆
