The actress played matriarch Peggy Woolley in BBC Radio 4's long-running drama from 1951 until 2022.

I hope The Archers will (in due course) have a suitable send off for Peggy in tribute.

Especially poignant as her 'legacy' (rewilding) and Hilda (her cat) are currently front and centre of story lines.
