Bloods post MYOCARDITIS - Action needed ???

Ds had Myocarditis and LVSD in July. We had a poor experience in hospital & our head of GP practice is very poor. Hence I am keeping a close eye on things.

He is not recovered. His Cardiologist has ordered a 2nd cMRI end of month.
He has previously had 'high white cell count' & 'high cholesterol' (last 6m)

A locum ordered bloods as he has appalling indigestion & nausea (even on 3X omeprazole) & has lost a stone in the last 4 weeks. Bloods flag 2 Hi' indicators:

Mono (02.-0.8) is 1.23
Cholesterol (high in hospital) is: 5.5 (general figure only no breakdown, parent has extremely high cholesterol & talk of familial hypercholesteramia but no test)
Other bloods seem ok although a few are near the edge of the OK bandings.

GP had wondered if he still had a 'gut bug' - the Myo was blamed on this although no discussion of what it might have been.

I am keen for him to feel better. Would you expect a GP to 'do anything' re bloods?

No idea but wanting to bump this for you.

I think I vaguely recall your thread at the time, I'm so sorry this is still ongoing Flowers

Look up H.Pylori (a bacteria that infects the stomach)and its links to myocarditis.
I assume he has been tested for this?

Hi OP, was this the thread where you had to cancel your holiday? And ds was supposed to be off to uni? Was wondering how you were.

@MilesOfCarpetTiles Hi, yes that was us. NHS Consultant is now doing 2nd cMRI end of Nov 'although he is sure it isn't cardiac & won't show anything' (so why run an expensive test then? )
But Ds not getting better in fact worse sunce he had his vaccination boosters, then worse again in the last 3 weeks. Tremors, giddiness, cold extremities, clamminess, exhaustion. Really bad 'indigestion' (even with 3x omeprazole) & has lost a stone in weight so GP did stool sample (no results yet). Can't walk down road. Heartbeat varies 55-135 ( mostly 100+). Extremely anxious now which doesn't help matters but is understandable as he's had a horrible time of things since July.

@melt001 no he's not been tested for this. I'll look it up, thank you ! x
