Just wrote a very long post which I don't think is very relevant. In short:
DS wants snow boots. DH says boys don't wear snow boots. I will buy DD snow boots this winter (as I do every year). Last few years, DS has worn his hiking boots.
I've found these in black / blue at a reasonable price. DH thinks they look too like hiking boots (they are "winter hiking boots") and thinks we should get him something like this (black ones on rock) but these aren't warm ones, just high a high version of the trainers he wears to school (olive/orange). If we don't get him any, he will continue to wear the trainers and if he needs boots, wear his hiking boots.
Would your 14-15 year old DS wear either of these? If not, what do they wear in the winter when it's icy and snowing?
