Celebs where you don’t expect to see them

I did a drivers awareness course today, one of the online courses where the group joins via teams or whatever it is. You only see everyone’s face and first name.
Anyway, there was one participant that after a while of thinking she was familiar, I realised she’s a TV presenter. I’m certain it was her, but if it wasn’t then this woman with the same name shares an uncanny resemblance.

I don’t spot many celebs where I live so it was quite exciting to be sharing a space with one. Even if it was that particular space. She seemed very pleasant.

Ever had any random celeb spots like that?

Many years ago the actress Carolyn Pickles was very kind to me on the tube. I was in a hurry jumped off one tube ran across the platform and jumped on another train.. Then had a panic and asked if the train went to where I was going CP calmly told me I was going the right way...
Also saw Matthew Horne on the tube. He's got VERY long legs!!

She is charming, my Mum use to work for her Father (The Judge) and I met her a few times.

DS met the Irish rugby team in the airport. Didn’t want to disturb them as they were “being normal and drinking coffee with their girlfriends”, but he saw one of the coaches in a shop / he was dead friendly and DS got someone to take a picture. DS looks minuscule next to him and he’s 6’2” 🤣

I’d forgotten this, but the Irish rugby team once gave me a lift on their team bus. I’d stayed at an ‘airport’ hotel to make an early flight, had missed the hopper bus and couldn’t get a taxi so was dragging my suitcase grimly along a footpath in the lashing rain when this bus stopped, one of the players got out, stuck my bag in with theirs and gave me a towel (I was as wet as if I’d been swimming) and a lift to my terminal. I have no more interest in rugby than I do in watching paint dry, and I don’t even know which player took my bag, but it has endeared them to me since.

Yes, quite a few soap stars and other actors live in our area and I used to see one regularly at my old gym and another at swimming lessons for my child. My dc was in the same year at school as the son of a well known actress, with a more famous actor relation, and her (now ex) husband, who is also a known actor. Also a well-known poet had a child in the same year.

We used to live in the same road as her. A high profile newscaster also lived in that road.

Friend of ours teaches drama at a school attended by the child of a well-known actor/actress couple. Apparently they're perfectly nice but she can't help but find it quite intimidating.
