Not me, but TWO cars on my street!

Is that normal?

Does the DVLA just blitz certain areas on certain days?

They do or they have been reported

They respond to reports and whilst they're on a road, they'll randomly check other vehicles too. So highly likely one was reported and they checked others parked near it whilst they were there clamping the first.

Yeah they bliz my area a couple of times a year .
Neighbours that do pay tax usually make a joke of it
" oooh look all them cars with matching booties on "

They drive round slowly in a Google street view type car ,t hen anything that pings gets clamped . Or someone’s reported .

Our town has had a spree recently.

Only happened once round here as far as I can remember but they did about 15 in the town in that one day.

Yes, our area gets done a few times a year. Seems relatively recent though so not sure if it's because technology has improved allowing them to identify a batch easily.

Yes - a local road is used by commuters avoiding the station car park. At least once a year there are several cars with DVLA clamps on.

Most likely someone got sick of an abandoned car taking up a parking space and reported it. The authorities respond quickly, usually.

I think they do a sweep where I live as I see clamped cars quite often

Our street is quite tucked away but we were checked one e and some idiots down the road who had SORN'd their car were done.

sometimes cars are such bangers they stay booted as fine, tax & hassle are more than car itself is worth

(mine is beat up but well enough loved to be de-booted from shame 😂 I am more careful now!)
