Found this hidden on the wall by my daughter’s bunk bed. Is it mould?!

Is this mould?

yes it certainly looks like mould. Is the bed up against the wall? This would mean air isn't circulating and could lead to mould, especially if it's a wall that faces outside. You could try treating it with mould remover and ventilating the room (and if not already, opening a window every day to let air in). A dehumidifier would also help. If it keeps coming back, it may be a more serious damp issue that needs investigation.

The beds not pushed up right against the wall but is close, probably like a 5cm gap I’d say! There are damp issues in general due to a massive leave last year and other leaks a few years back prior to us moving in. I ventilate and use a dehumidifier every day in there 🙁 I may see if my landlord will let me use mould blocking paint.

Would you be able to move the bed to another part of the room for a while? Painting the wall won't cure it if the wall hasn't fully dried out first.

Mould blocking paint doesn’t work. You have damp coming in from the outside wall. The paint just slows down the mould appearing

Sorry to be negative - I feel your pain! Definitely need to raise it with landlord, move the bed if possible. Mould/damp not good for anyone’s health but especially children’s so try to get LL to find a solution ASAP.
