C section and numbness - will it ever return?

I've had two sections, my last being 2.5 years ago. I've got quite a large space that's just completely numb, below my belly button. Even my mons pubis feels "fuzzy" (sorry I can't explain it very well!) Not fully numb, but almost?

When DP puts his arm around me in bed and his hand brushes against it, it's the most odd feeling! I'm guessing not, but is there absolutely no way of regaining feeling after all this time? I can poke some areas with a very sharp nail and feel nothing.

Day to day it's fine, but when the area is touched it makes me feel so off.

Mine took a few years to fully return and now 7 years after my last c section. I thought it would never fully return.

8 years on I still have some numbness around the scar itself but rest returned to normal after a few years I'd say.

It's 13 years since my last caesarean and I'm still numb, no feeling around the area at all. So contrary to PP Im sure I'm going to stay numb forever.
I suppose it depends on your body and how your nerves heal, some people's obviously don't

13 years and there's still some numbness just below and to the right of the scar. It feels strange and tingly, but not in a good way, if I run my nails over it and the areas next to it feel even more sensitive in comparison.

Yes. You can massage it op

I had C-section back in the day and the area immediately around the scar felt like pins and needles/asleep for a year or more - it was not a pleasant sensation. It has long since returned to normal.

Agree with one of the previous posters. Massage really helps, my physio recommended using something paraben free and I'm waiting for some silicon scar strips as well.

Mine took years to feel normal again. I would estimate it was around 7 years when I suddenly realised it no longer felt numb. I don’t think it feels 100% normal, but it doesn’t feel that strange feeling anymore. The sensation of my scar area being touched used to make me feel sickly, really weird sensation, but that has gone away completely.

I have a patch on my middle back that has been numb since my first section 4 years ago. So weird.

It took about 10-12 years to get most of it back but there are still buts that are mostly numb.
