Dds don't need anything and can't tell me what they want.
I want to start getting some stuff.
All dd2 wants is a foundation and dd1 wants some cheap jewellery.
No idea what else to get them.
They get clothes when they need them. Have newish tech.
What are you getting yours?

My 16 year old mostly wants books, Jellycats, t-shirts and rather sweetly some Sylvanian family babies 😂

If you go to the Christmas board there’s a thread called “Posh adult stocking fillers” …if you scroll through there’s poster who's listed some amazing ideas for young adults.

The poster is Chestnut134 and has some really good ideas

Mine is getting a stocking with beauty stuff in she uses and then the bulk of the money I allocate in voucher form for the hairdresser/nail salon she goes to; her request.

Dd is a bit younger ad she is 11 but in a similar situation so we have started arranging events. She loves live music and theatre so for Christmas we have booked tickets to see Joseph in Feb. For her birthdsy I booked her tickets for the pop act she loves.

Could you do similar? Maybe a spa day, theme park tickets if they like them?

ShowOfHands · 03/11/2024 19:10

Have a browse through the Christmas topic as this thread comes up often.

What do they like? My dd doesn't like make-up and beauty stuff and wants D&D paraphernalia, books and some haberdashery items.

I'll take a look at the Xmas board thanks

I'm getting my DD tickets for a show.

minisomum · 03/11/2024 19:41

DD15 just had a birthday and wanted KPop tickets, a (funded) trip to Miniso and Muji, hair straighteners and some Etsy patterns and fabrics.

DeathMetalMum · 03/11/2024 19:48

Dd1 who is 13.
Books by Katherane McGee - two that are only available in America.
Funko pops - certain star wars/marvel
Wednesday lego
A squishmallow - specific design only available on eBay etc.
Yungblud book

We have also got tickets for Six the musical for both dd's.

Dd2 who is 11 currently doesn't have anything. Except for a set of squishmallows that were on offer in asda a few weeks back. I remember finding it really tricky when dd1 was this age.

On her list is a Cork board, slime, sweets and some fairy lights. All of which she will probably get but she doesn't have a 'big' gift currently.

Stockings will consist of stick on nails, tubes of moisturiser other beauty things, sweets and other bits and bobs yet to be found.
