Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in Liverpool that has parking and good access to the Aintree hospital? Also, we may want to go shopping in Liverpool at some point, is it easy to drive in the centre? Thanks

I stay at the Crowne Plaza in the city centre. Nothing special, but it's a nice, clean comfortable place to stay. It has parking (not cheap) but I go by train to Liverpool these days as reaching the centre of Liverpool by car is hell on earth. Sorry, but I have no idea about access to the hospital.

Stay in Liverpool town centre like PP said. Premier inn in the Albert Dock is nice on a budget or Hilton Hotel Liverpool 1. Get train to Fazackerley station which is opposite Aintree Hospital

I stay quite a bit at Lime street PI. Hotel indigo is nice, as is Ibis styles. I don't find driving round Liverpool anywhere near as bad as my own city. I adore Liverpool!

For parking and Aintree access I would stay at Crowne Plaza at Speke and go along the Konwsley Expressway/M57 to the hospital and get the bus (20minutes) into town.
Parking in town is prohibitively expensive if you're coming and going like that

@Postslikethese it it open again? I had a booking a couple of years ago. And when I got there, found it was closed as it was housing asylum seekers. The security guard basically called me a liar when I said I had a booking until I showed the email. I got a full refund. But it's put me off staying since. It's a lovely hotel though.
