Friendships and arrangements

I know this has been done before but I find it so difficult with friends- re flakiness.
After the Christmas get together I’ve made up my mind that I’m going to stop suggesting things. Will see if anyone else does- which they’ll have to- if they want the group to still get together now and again.
Also wonder if anyone else finds it strange when some people on a group chat are always silent- always read the messages but say nothing at all. Wonder why they stay in the group🤔

Me too… There have been some weird pregnant pauses after someone says, “We should organise a catchup” and I say, “Sounds great!” and leave it like that…. I feel weirdly rebellious.

Yes, instead of trying to herd everyone I’m going to give more vague responses and let others do the work with getting together!
