Is anyone else's dog completely unbothered by fireworks?

Ours (collie lab cross) just doesn't give a fuck, and neither did my previous dog (a lab GSD cross).

If there's a particularly loud one he will look up at me, but it doesn't seem to upset him at all. People keep asking me what I did to make him so calm about them but I don't think I did anything!?

Is it just down to their personality? Or is there anything owners can do when training?

My boy isn't bothered. To be fair, he's not the brightest and many things pass him by Grin

No shits given here at all. She’s 3.5 and will happily go for walk and pay no attention to the fireworks.
A delivery man on the other hand…… she goes berserk 🤣

Nope, mine isn't bothered. In fact I've never owned a dog that was, but thats mostly because I played intermittent firework sounds to them as part of their training.

I did the same in the run up to my dogs first fireworks night ( we live on an estate and people love back garden displays here) and he's always been ok too.

The first time my dog saw a firework, we were out walking. He heard the whoosh and looked up interested. When it flared out and disappeared, he shook it off like he thought it had fallen on him and carried on. He used to sit in the window when he heard the bangs and watch them but he doesn't even bother with that now. One year I took him out and a nearby display started that I was unaware of and I thought he would be terrorised but he couldn't care less. The hoover on the other hand... terrifying.

My lab doesn't care either.. but if the window leaner comes he's a shaking wreck climbing on my knee 🙈

Dog sits and watches them and sometimes comes and gets me as he knows that I’ll stand and watch them too.
Cat ignores them.
our local emu also quotes likes them.

Mines 13. She wasn’t bothered until about 4 years ago and each year she’s bad now

Lab collie X also doesn't give a fuck.
