Look like a prick/teeth/ school run

I have had all my teeth removed bottom ones some time ago . All the top ones a few days ago.

I have temporary dentures that I can use right away. I know they won't be the perfect fit. But when I put them on they just drop Like they are massive. Also they sort of poke out at the front I guess simlar to an over bite. I can't close my mouth. I have sort of over stretch my top lip. Before I had the teeth removed I had an over bite 2 front teeth were the worst. I'm wondering if my the gum has stayed forward and Needs more time to set back.

I'm really worried about doing the school run. I look a massive prick . And I look a like im 80 years old . It's embarrassing. I can't Wear a mask or scarf as I can't stand any near/covering my mouth. I will panic etc. And there's no one to do school run for me. I can't see dentist for another 4 weeks. Oh and my speech is fucked.

I'm so angry with myself. I could have had this done on the 6 weeks holiday. But no I keep delaying it like a fucking prick. Karma right there

Have you tried a different glue to hold them in? Could the dentist help with different ones?

Glue is not going to stop the problem with the front. I can't get different ones but he can likely adjust them. But I can't get seen for about 4 weeks

Are you normally quite sociable on the school run?

I would maybe just tell a few that you are close to and let them know how you are feeling and that you won't be hanging around to chat at the moment.
When you talk try and hold your hand over your mouth like we see footballers doing so lip readers can't make out their conversation!

Can you wear a mask? Say you have a cold and don’t want to spread it around or an important event coming up so you don’t want to catch anything? It’s not ideal and I’m sorry you are going through this.

Can’t help with the teacher meeting but for general school run you could wear the biggest scarf you can find wrapped around your neck over your chin and mouth slightly!?

Can you wander about on the phone at the back and look busy?

Are there any other mums that you are close to and you see on the school run that you can explain to? I know if any of my school mum friends were in this situation and explained I'd make sure they didn't need to hang around or talk too much and I could watch their children go into school if they preferred to dash off.
