Anything positive about the budget?

Will try to keep this vague so as not to be outing. But I’m a leftie, Labour/ Green voter. I and all my friends and family tend to work in the charity sector/ public sector. I’m in favour of higher taxes to repair the damage caused by austerity, truss, Brexit.

obviously there is a lot of negativity around the budget and I have to say it feels pretty rough. Are there any upsides? Is there a plan for the nhs and education beyond a bit more money? I admit I haven’t read about it in detail but all the newspaper articles I find are focused on whether the taxes are fair, not on what the govt actually plan to do with the money. Am I missing something?

I believe Mr Streeting is asking for people’s ideas in regard to the NHS. Labour were in opposition for 14 years you would think they’d had enough time to hit the ground running. I’m very worried about depressed wages, problems for charities, hospices and GPs. Ms Reeves has said she expects people to be worse off. Nothing to celebrate that I can see.

I'm happy with it, other than I don't think the new inheritance tax limit on farms is high enough. I would prefer it to be, maybe at £5m.

I'm an employer & am fine with the NI increases.
