Mystery Object - what is it?

I'm sorting out my drawer of useless objects, and throwing stuff out. But what is this object? I've Googled and still no idea! I don't want to throw it out if it's something important.

It's plastic, and the square end is magnetic and quite heavy. Is it part of a children's toy? My DC are in their 20s now - I did say my tidy up was long overdue!

No idea..but if you throw it out you will find you need it in a few weeks time

It's a magnetic wand toy.

😂I know - that's why I've been storing it!

Google lens might solve it

horumforaforum · 01/11/2024 14:51

It’s just a magnet. Probably part of a kids magnet experiment kit or something.

Have just Googled! I think you're right - but no idea where it came from. I did start with Google lens, and it came up with a dog toy!

I was going to say it could be part of your sewing kit to find dropped pins or needles.

NannyR · 01/11/2024 14:54

Edited to add correct link!

PreFabBroadBean · 01/11/2024 14:55

I'll label it up carefully, and give it to the charity shop 😀

Well that's annoying. I gave away my mother's old pin magnet thinking it would be easy to buy another if I ever needed one and now I cant find anything similar. It was rectangular with a handle and you wiped it over the floor and it picked up any hidden pins 😕
