Tips for getting over Covid

I have been ill for a week and think it is probably Covid, although it could just be a bad cold (I haven't tested). I'm feeling a bit rubbish, but it's not serious and I think I'm on the mend.

However, I have an event I don't want to miss in a few days and would really like to speed up the final stages of recovery if possible. Does anyone have any suggestions for things they have found to be effective?

I am assuming it will be ok to socialise by then as it will be ten days since I first had symptoms and I seem to remember the advice was to isolate for five days after showing symptoms.

There isn't much else you can do to shift it.

What are the main symptoms that are bothering you? I found the most debilitating was the razor blades in my throat sensation, so did lots of gargling with salt water.
