Nespresso coffee machine, milk problem

I wonder if anyone has had the same issue with the milk frother? I generally only froth and heat enough milk for one coffee at a time, most of the time everything is ok but sometimes it froths so much that it goes all over the counter and everywhere. I can’t work out why this might be. Milk is always the same amount and temperature, always use the metal jug, always position the jug in the same place. Any ideas?

I found that filling it up to the line made it spill out so I put less in now.

That makes sense but I’m def not overfilling it. It’s strange. And annoying having to clear up spilled milk!

My frother has always done exactly the same. It can work perfectly three times out of four but then overflows everywhere. I always use the same brand of semi skimmed long life milk which is always kept at the same temperature. I thought it might be something to do with the freshness of the milk but it happens just as often when a new carton has been opened as when it. has been open for a couple of days. It is one of life's mysteries. 😆

Same here so I just put less in now.

Well I’m sorry you’re all having the same issue but also glad it’s not just me! Just one of those annoying things I guess

We have the separate nespresso milk frother, it works fine with no overspill - we use it with proper freshly ground coffee brewed in an Aeropress. It's a really good combination.
