So first of all I go dentist. Get all my top teeth out . Feel shit and horrible after. stressed looking after the kids whilst dribbling and can't talk and all the other crap that comes with it.

Then my back door that leads to my garden gets jammed and it won't open . We are trying to prize it open with what ever we can find. Kick it etc. Then we snap the key on the lock . Then we damage the fame. Then we break the door handle. We managed to open it in the end but the lock is snapped... did I contact the lock smith up the road nope... did I call the council... nope

On a plus not at least the dogs can get out.

And I have orded ice cream and muller rice

At the moment I have no teeth at all . So what can I eat ? I
Definitely no soup. I have porridge and muller rice. I can't think of anything because I litterly just want to swallow it.

Poor you! Cheese is good for teeth… or mouths without teeth… can you eat cheese? Even hardish cheese like cheddar should melt even if you suck it. Cheese should fill you up too. Hope you feel better soon!

Peanut butter. On a spoon....... I have accidentally eaten most of a jar that way this week already 😆.
Jelly. Milkshake. Smoothies for f &v.
Why no soup? Bad for mouth or you just don't like it?

Oh you poor love, what a day you've had.
I read your messages from early in the morning before you had the teeth out.
You've had probably a lot of good ideas given to you, when I had a wisdom tooth extracted the dentist suggested yogurt I think because at least it has some protein, some brands more than others, and that helps with the healing.
If you have yogurt and milk maybe a bit of vanilla and sugar or ice cream you could make a shake/drink in the blender?
It's a shame you had so many other problems to add to your day and I hope that you're able to sleep tonight and will feel better soon.

Thank you. Think over the next few days I will feel less nervous about eating. I'm going to order an easy to eat shop tomorrow. I'm not doubt it tonight because I have gone brain dead

Make a milkshake with a banana and some protein powder and drink it through a straw

NEVER use a straw when you have had teeth out! Can give you a dry socket which is awful.

tolerable · 29/10/2024 21:41

@Onlywayisup24 - aye- to be fair-it wee bit does. but when it hits your tummy\feel full way it defo works..if scoop onto spoon n keep scoop end face roof of mouth-wont stick?

SoporificLettuce · 29/10/2024 21:43

Onlywayisup24 · 29/10/2024 19:04

I used a straw last time and no issues . I only done it for the first day though.

You were lucky the last time. I wouldn’t risk it. I’ve had a dry socket and there’s no pain like it.

I'm sure you're feeling brain-dead! It's been a traumatic day not just for your conscious mind but for your body as well.
But the worst is over, you got the operation done and now your job is to heal and take care of yourself.
Try to get protein in to yourself every way you can think of that won't hurt your mouth. Some ideas are oatmeal, cottage cheese, soft scrambled eggs, ice cream of course yogurt, mashed potatoes creamed or pureed soups.
Take care of yourself and I hope you sleep well I'm sure you were given directions after the extraction, you've been very brave.xx

Thank you . Yeah worst is over for now. Just healing really.

I feel like I can't eat mash or simlar I don't know why i can't explain it. I feel like I Need to eat things that I can just swallow. When I ate a mousse last night I kept putting the spoon upside down just before I put it in my mouth. I don't know why im doing that. And I have it in my head I can only eat cold food
There's no logic to any of it but it feels strongly in my head that I can't eat anything that can fall of an upside down spoon and I ant eat anything warm/hot

How are you feeling today?
I hope you got some sleep.

Yeah it would be very strange to try to eat something off a spoon without your upper teeth, and especially when the roof of your mouth is probably swollen, and of course sore still.

Do what feels right for you, stick with lukewarm or cool foods for now.

The thing is to get some kind of nourishment into you, from a glass or later from a spoon.

You have to make sure you drink enough too .

Lots of water, clear broth, unsweetened fruit juice, applesauce, pudding.

Don't use a straw even though it feels like the right thing to do to bypass your sore mouth .
.
The tissue is healing and the suction of using a straw could dislodge the clotting that's taking place right now, and make it take longer to heal.

Treat yourself kindly if you can, get enough rest get enough fluids, you've been through this before, as I said this was a big thing!
Nothing's more fundamental than eating and drinking.

Hopefully soon you're able to enjoy some of your favorite foods again.

Take care of yourself xx
