Does anyone have any tips on weaning a toddler off feeding to sleep? DD is coming up to 16 months and getting her to sleep has always been difficult.
I expect a key part of it is setting a new routine. At the moment we read some stories downstairs, go up for her bath, and then bed. Once she's in her room she asks for milk and is asleep in her cot within a few minutes. Do we need to shake it up by moving the stories to her room? I'm just a bit nervous of drawing out the room side of things as that seems like a complete change of routine, but perhaps that's our only option to change the associations? Thanks for any help!
