It’s started on my arms but now starting to spread to my chest, face and legs. It’s very itchy.

it starts as a red dot and then turns pimply.

Whilst I’m waiting on a call back from the pharmacy as its not worthy of the GP.

How long have you had it?

Have you had chicken pox?

Skykidsspy · 29/10/2024 09:26

since Sunday

It looks like chicken pox but as you've had it already you need to see a doctor incase it's not.

I thought so too and said as much to the receptionist. I expect I’ll go to the pharmacy and get sent to the GP but I suppose you have to play the game

It looks very much like chickenpox. If you've had that it could be Shingles. Is it kind of in a line, or more widespread over your body?

Skykidsspy · 29/10/2024 09:37

It’s in a line up my arm but there are a few dots elsewhere

Shingles follows a single nerve. OP has it on arms, face, legs and chest so highly unlikely to be shingles.

It looks a little like what I thought molloscum looks like?

FollowingSeas · 29/10/2024 09:42

Does it look like the spots contain pus or water like a blister? I'd say that photo looks a bit like molluscum (which would be pus filled spots) but it's not that clear a picture.

Tutorpuzzle · 29/10/2024 09:50

I’ve had chicken pox twice. Once as a child and once as an adult when I worked in a school. Worse as an adult but it was definitely chicken pox and not shingles.

Whatever your spots are (and they do look chicken pox ish) try very hard not to scratch and arnica cream really helped me with the itching.)

Molluscum are smaller and hard

Thank you, that’s reassuring. NHS also references one side but both arms are bad.

Dc had molloscum and it looks different - bigger and more spread out
