Karaoke songs

First of all, my disclaimer. I have never participated in karaoke; I keep my vocals at home. However, if I were to take the plunge, I'd like to have a crack at Bridge Over Troubled Water, Vincent and Don't Know Much - I'd need a duet partner for the latter. But these are all such well-known songs so it would be very brave of me to tackle them and not risk a humiliating balls-up. What song or songs would you be brave enough to 'perform' ?

Any of Madonna's early songs: I haven't got a great vocal range,like Madonna herself, but can belt out True Blue or Borderline quite well

Some songs are utterly off limits, e.g. My Way. It's the pub singer finale.

I think That's Life might be a bit too Vegas for me. I remember Cannon and Ball performing it in their live shows.

Black Betty by Ram Jam would be a nice raucous one to get into.

Mine is Whole Again - Atomic Kitten.

I do not have a decent voice and I (blindly) think most people could somehow get away with this one.

Crackling Rosie is my usual go to, but since having an Alexa karaoke session, my new favourite is ' Indiana wants me' by R Dean Taylor. Great, especially the last bit, 'This is the police, give yourself up' over and over again, through a megaphone over the tune.

Loads actually, plus some group numbers! I once had a very funny night out at a karaoke place with a group of work mates, it was great fun. Me and a colleague did most of the song selection to cover all tastes and abilities.

I Will Survive is actually very easy.

Let It Go is impressive if you can actually sing and know the song very well.

Don't try and do anything sung by a man if you are a woman.
