Am I panicking over nothing ?

I suffer with anxiety I’m 24. Have suffered since I was 10.

to sum this story up: I made an offer on vinted and made another forgetting I’d already made one (I wanted a specific top so made an offer on a few listings!)

the seller come back quite curt? I apologised and paid the first offer the higher one. They cancllled the order and just threw abusive messages at me

then they said they kill themselves ? That I was the tipping point and said they were on the verge today?

I urged them that they should speak to someone if they feel that way

but then they come back
”whatever dude”
”delete this chat and go about your life with your cheap top and you’ll be none the wiser” etc

I feel sick at those messages and I messaged my sister who’s told me they won’t be serious and I need to calm down

Side note I didn’t send abuse back the worst I did was tell them to grow up and not sell on vinted if they don’t like the offer button

I'm sorry you experienced that. I've never used Vinted but can you complain about the seller to them and show them the messages? They shouldn't be telling people they're going to commit suicide because of them.

I’ve reported the messages they said they review within 24 hours

ive been crying I feel sick because I’ve felt suicidal before ? It’s not nice and I didn’t even do anything wrong I double offered ;again honest mistake

then the worst I said was grow up??

Sorry if I seem dramatic I have anxiety and those messages have sent me into a spin. I’ve stopped messaging as it’s triggering but I feel like I need to check in I feel sick?

You made an honest mistake, apologised and paid your higher offer price.

You have done absolutely nothing wrong and if the seller harms themselves it is not your fault. But I very much doubt that they will, it stretches belief that someone would kill themselves because of an incident like this.

Please try not to worry about it, you did exactly right in reporting it - it’s terrible behaviour on the seller’s part.

anxiousnessz · 27/10/2024 20:20

I get I should’ve probably ignored the messages from them but I did just go back a few times and said I honestly just used the vinted feature of offering ??? lol it’s not a crime?

they called me a cheeky cunt again quite unprovoked

Hope vinted has a look at the messages the ones I have recieved have been horrid

Seriously op just ignore her, attention seeking

persisted · 27/10/2024 20:30

People are idiots, ignore them.
The best bet is not to engage at all.

TheSnugHare · 27/10/2024 20:33

I’m not sure I’ve understood what’s happened. I’m not sure if it’s like eBay where if you make an offer on things and the seller accepts it then you need to pay. It isn’t right to go around sending offers on multiple items and then cancelling the others

So I wanted a top I searched it, I offered on a few listings. But when I searched again that night I offered again on one that I had before

They told me I was taking the piss. I apologised and paid the full prices because I didn’t realise I’d double offered

They cancelled the order and sent abusive messages

@TheSnugHare It is not like eBay. The
OP did nothing wrong.

anxiousnessz · 27/10/2024 22:39

Yes they won’t have meant that will they

they logged on again after I made this post (seen the Last seen was just after I made post) but hasn’t been on since

ive felt so bad but I mean it’s not bad to make offers is it???

You have done nothing wrong. They are very odd. Just ignore completely.

Keroppi · 27/10/2024 22:47

Wow they sound like a piece of work! Glad you've reported
Block them and find the top you want from someone else
You've done nowt wrong

LuLuRN · 27/10/2024 22:52

You can make as many offers as you want. Have you actually bought the item from that person?

i did buy it and they cancelled it and said they wouldn’t sell to me. That’s when the messages from them started

i apologised for double offering I hadn’t realised I’d done it as I did it on the listing didn’t click in on the message

OP posts:
TheSnugHare · 28/10/2024 00:58

How can you double offer on something and even if you have so what? I’m really confused
