Parry5timesbeforedeath · 27/10/2024 15:40

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 27/10/2024 15:43

Met son’s new kitten this morning then out for lunch, now on the sofa watching Chelsea V Newcastle.
Scones for tea later, followed by wine, crisps and Strictly chuck out.

Whattheduck · 27/10/2024 15:45

Watching a house through time with a coffee snuggled up with the dog (I’m full of cold and feeling a bit rubbish )
Dh Dd and her boyfriend have gone to watch the basketball
They all had a roast dinner that I cooked before they left but I’m going to have some homemade vegetable soup and crusty bread shortly
Will watch strictly later then probably have an early night listening to a podcast

IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece · 27/10/2024 15:46

Cooked a roast yesterday so currently drinking wine, watching Castle and considering when to make a leftover roast baguette, did take the dog for a walk earlier before the first glass of wine

Doing 5 days in a row physical job, getting nearing the 50s, so my weekends started being focused on me

Wine would finish me off. Perimenopause makes me wanting to sleep all the time, so going to have another coffee and attempt a work course

DeathMetalMum · 27/10/2024 15:49

Not a lot. Dc are pretty wiped out from school, particularly dd2 she's year 7 and still adjusting to the longer day and travel, she has had two huge lye ins yesterday and today. They do sports most weekends, so usually we are back and forth over the weekend. All have half-term breaks.

We went to the supermarket yesterday for a few bits and bobs, today we have been for a short walk locally. We have carved pumpkins, watched a film, and done some lego. Dd2 has also done some revision (her choice). We have plans for 3/5 days of half term next week so needed a weekend to reset.

Iamblossom · 27/10/2024 15:55

I'm drinking wine.

A lovely large glass of red while I watch TV.

After a day of exercise and jobs.

I contemplated stopping in a pub with the dogs after our walk and having one on my own in there. And changed my mind. Which made me think how noone bats an eyelid if a man stops off in the pub on his own for a pint.

Judellie · 27/10/2024 16:19

Not much. Been to Wickes, Iceland, Lidl. Taken a few bits to charity shop.
Dropped off DD at work. Went for a short walk.
Thinking vaguely of entering some competitions but actually scrolling mumsnet and reading.
Got to go and pick up DD from work shortly then roast dinner. It's half term but DD is working Monday, Tuesday and I'm working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, as is DH.
Few days away near Birmingham planned for the end of the week but not done anything about that yet beyond book accommodation.

VioletCrawleyForever · 27/10/2024 16:21

I've been camping with scouts.

UpUpUpU · 27/10/2024 18:48

Finally finished my son’s bedroom after two days! I’m exhausted now and my back is in bits! Hope he likes it 🤞🏻

GiddyRobin · 27/10/2024 21:11

Not very much, I've not been well. We had a day out to the woods and a picnic yesterday, but today I'm done in so I've been ordered to rest. Currently curled up on the couch in pj's and DH and I are considering watching a film. Can't decide on anything though, we both want something a bit spooky but nothing is grabbing our attention. Did manage to paint my nails though as I had to cancel my appointment.

We're decorating for the kids Halloween party tomorrow so I want to feel a bit more lively then. I was going to make a load of pumpkin pasties and other bits (to freeze ahead of time) but don't want to be sneezing into their food, so DH might have to go it alone. Which is a shame as I was looking forward to doing it together!

Whatdoyoumeanwinter · 28/10/2024 15:51

Hope your feeling better giddy

Thank you, lovely. Feeling a bit less grubby but DH is doing the cooking while I make some bunting and supervise (we've got A/L this week). He's a great cook but I had loads of ideas for spooky food. Bit of a shame but better than contaminating a load of kiddies with my germs.

Hope you're having a nice Monday! It's a bit sunny here so hope you've got some of it there!
