I've made a huge tiny mistake, and omitted to get the one of DC2's requested birthday presents. She's asked for hair straighteners. Her hair is fine and more straight than wavy. She does already have some other presents (I'm not that chaotic) and so the budget would be around £50. Most importantly I need them in my hands by Monday evening. Recommendations please?

My daughters both have GHDs but prefer the much cheaper Remington shine therapy ones that I bought myself. Again are great for next day delivery

Argos are great - click and collect from Sainsbury's stores often same day/next day.
Don't know about straighteners though

Boots have a massive sale on at the moment, the Remingron straighteners mentioned above is half price.

Another vote for Remington here. Recently bought the shine therapy ones after my 10 year old babyliss ones (also excellent) gave up the ghost.
Im a redhead so my hair is super coarse and curly, and these soften and straighten my hair amazingly well-and it stays straight for days

Remington are a great alternative to ghd.

Hoglet70 · 27/10/2024 11:25

I have Remington ones too.

Boots are sneaky wee fuckers. They're supposedly reduced from £80 to £39.99, but Argos, Amazon and lots of other places are selling them for around £36.99-£39.99. I can't imagine Boots sold a single pair at £80 - because it's a fake price in the first place. According to Remington their price is about £40.
