Do you have a 2nd job? Need advice.

I work 25 hours a week over 3 days. I was a SAHM for years overseas so my job prospects on returning to work were not great, and I am in a low paid job. However I like it as it accommodates my family life, school pickups etc. and I love the people I work with. We are ok financially.

I’d like to work some more, but I don’t want to increase my hours where I work for a number of reasons, the main one being it is a long commute.

I’d like a 2nd job, one local or WFH. What though? My DC are getting older now and I feel I’ve got 1-2 days free to work more, or those hours over the week.

If you have a 2nd job, what do you do?

FYI one thing I’d love to do is go back into the travel industry. Before DC I worked in the hotel industry in different countries for many years. I’ve also a strong sales background.

I don't have a 2nd job, as already work full time. But some ideas:
-I don't know if its called a private travel agent or even if its still a thing, but where you ring a number and speak to a travel agent to help book flights/accomodation etc. Not in an actual shop. I'd assume its on commission, so the additional pay might be unreliable though. You could also tack on advice for older travelers and insurance companies, help with visas etc.
-What job did you do in the hotels? Depending on the role, approach local hotels, BnB's etc
-Do you have a spare bedroom? Rent it out for short term lets- AirBNB etc
-Are you crafty? A friend knits miniature animals and sells on ebay/etsy. Apparently they are popular, although she still has a regular job.
-Cake toppers? When I was getting married, some companies had an 18mth waiting list for wedding toppers. Not sure how popular they are now, but I had mine made from a polymer clay, like fimo and made to look vaguely like DH and myself. The faces were fairly generic, but the outfit, hair etc were similar to the pics I'd sent.
