Aww, I don't have much to add but was hoping someone would come along and start things off!

We lived in the basement flat of a huge Georgian house.

Something was going on in our utility room. Three completely unrelated people (my husband, my friend's sister and a plumber who had come to fix the shower) said they felt there were women in white watching them. Dogs and some small children just couldn't be coaxed into the room.

We did some research and found that from Victorian times to the mid 20th century the house had been a hospital. We found old photographs of nurses in white uniforms standing in the hallway.

I never 'felt' it and would happily do my ironing in there.

I've just seen the first episode of Hauntings on BBC. It was about the Enfield Poltergeist. I had always thought it was a hoax, but the voice recordings are very sinister and creepy.

Bumping.

Thanks for the reminder, I was meaning to catch that. How was it? Looking forward to the new TV series of Uncanny, saw it was going ahead but not sure when it'll be on.

Not Enfield Poltergeist levels in the least, but just remembered something from a few years ago. I was doing homework on the family computer, heard the door open behind me and someone walk in, could even feel the footsteps crossing the room on the floorboards. It wasn't a door that could swing open by itself, the carpet was new and not trampled down yet so you'd hear the door skimming across it too. Of course, turned around and nobody there. Not just once, it started happening more often.

Then one day, DDad suggested moving the computer... the same thing had been happening to him! None of us had mentioned it to the others until then because it sounded so unlikely.

Bumping because I haven't had any spooky encounters myself but I do like to hear them 😂
