Being Called to the Bar - kid logistics, help!

Bit niche maybe. Husband is being called to the bar next month.

Can someone tell me what to expect from this day? He’s scheduled at 1pm on a Thursday.

I need help with what to wear and logistics!

He really wants DDs (4yo and breastfed 8mo) to be there for the photo op but they aren’t allowed in the ceremony. We’re not from London, will be travelling from the north and staying over the night before and after (it’s on a weekday). My parents are coming in to London for the day to babysit. Will they just be able to hang about with them in the courtyard (weather permitting) or a cafe, and then come into the reception (which I’ve said will be hell for 4yo but he insists, for the photo)?

Any suggestions/intel?

It's Middle Temple

Best check with middle temple if the kids can go inside but it's usually public access around the outside of the hall and it'll be a working day for the chambers round there. There's fleet street and Chancery Lane at the top end which have cafes. The gardens are lovely so if the weathers nice I'm sure you'll get some great photos.
