Halloween stuff mainly. Pumpkin picking, then carving, Halloween films, Halloween baking biscuit and cake making, Halloween arts and crafts. This morning we went for a walk as dry and not to cold. Yesterday we went swimming. We will be going trick or treating on Thursday.

Ours was last week. DH had the week off so he did a couple of day trips on the train with DD and then they made some Halloween decorations, watched movies and did some baking.

I am working in a new job that i cant take leave from yet. So retired DH has taken them to the cinema, bowling and swimming. Plus some very serious Netflix viewing.

I am working 5 days in a row currently, and am home when my husband goes to his work, so the kids have one of us and we do whatever honestly. I cannot have the time to do all the consumerism stuff we used to do, however we still do visits to all these places when we can. Farms, museums, sea side, bowling, you name it

I realised how old and tired I am becoming and losing my enthusiasm for the constant going outs though I do love nature and churches

Worth knowing it is always a few weeks earlier in Scotland - it's great, still warm in lots of places and not many other countries are off school.

Traditionally some areas in Scotland get 2 weeks holiday as it is the tattie picking holiday from school - to help bring in the tattie harvest.

BakewellGin1 · 27/10/2024 17:03

Pumpkin Picking, Farm Visit, Halloween Walk, Halloween at Mother Shiptons Cave, Swimming, Football, Rugby, Library Visit, Garden Centre for Breakfast and Reindeer Feeding.
Apart from that play in the house and a trip to park

The school our eldest teaches at ( SE) has a 2 week half term so last week and this week . He went to Alton Towers last Monday / Tuesday and said it was busier than when he went in the summer holidays .

I have two teenage boys who only leave the house if food is on offer. So we have creams, five guys, Nando's and yo sushi planned.

menopausalmare · 27/10/2024 17:49

I will take them for lots of woodland walks and ignore their complaints whilst I photograph fungi🍄
