Halloween pumpkins

I am doing a Halloween pumpkin for the first time this year with my toddler.

I was curious where everyone then displays their pumpkins? Inside, outside / door step, in the window - looking in or out? Or somewhere else?

And do you prefer to use real or fake candles?

I have mine indoors till Halloween otherwise local scoundrels would take it and smash it. Then I put it out on the step. I usually have a few.

Are you going to be open to trick or treaters? Round here it's a signal that they're welcome to knock on your door so whether I'd display outside would depend entirely on that.

I've always done real candles and places on the porch :)

Our DS is a little young yet but next door have a toddler and they had them on the kitchen windowsill (looking out) but I noticed today they're now on the doorstep.

Please use fake candles. Halloween outfits and other associated tat accessories are often highly flammable. This time every year I think of Claudia Winkleman's poor little girl Sad

Yes I have bought sweets for trick or treat, I thought my toddler will enjoy seeing the costumes and giving out the sweets. I’m not taking her this year but will when she’s older!

Inside and out. If out prepare for trick treaters.
