Anyone on 02? Wondering if anyone knows when I need to contact 02 to cancel my contract? Never had a contract before this one, was always on pay as you go..

Been all over my 02 to see if i can cancel it from there but everything i click on says 'error'

Contract ends december 9th, just been told by someone on the phone that to cancel it i need to call back AFTER the 9th of december and not before? that doesn't sound right I thought it was before the date it ends not after?

AFAIK, you give notice to cancel before the contract ends. Usually 30 days/1 month's notice.

If your contract has a definite end date set by them (9th December?) then it's just a case of cancelling the direct debit after that date and the final payment has been taken.

You should receive communication from O2 in November saying your contract is ending in December and do you wish to renew or cancel.

.... be prepared for the hard sell when you say cancel!

I've recently cancelled an O2 phone contract and the hardest part was getting in touch with them. Managed to speak to a real person on the phone in the end and they talked me through the process, giving timelines. They put this in writing in an email.
