What do you really enjoy doing / do to unwind?

I'm just wondering what hobbies others have got that they really genuinely enjoy?

I've been feeling very bored recently and I know I need to find something sociable and something that I actually enjoy but I'm not sure what.

I do like active things and I'm thinking about joining a walking group.

Not sure if maybe something abit creative but also sociable would be a good idea too.

Also I need something I can do when I have time and not do when work takes over (as I get very busy periods at times).

To unwind... I read.
Hobbies - I like to do crafting things.
Exercise - I swim

I crochet. Sometimes I don't touch it for weeks but I've really gotten back into it recently. I go to a drop in group that meets most weeks plus take occasional workshops. I love doing workshops. But some don't get it: I told a friend I was looking for a wreath workshop and her response was I've done loads so surely don't need a workshop! But I do it for the social aspect. I'm a widow and my youngest has just gone to uni, so days can go by without having a conversation! These drop in sessions and workshops are a lifesaver as well as improving skills and meeting people with similar interests.

What about joining a choir? Sociable, gets you out of the house, doesn’t make a mess and you can practice anywhere.

I run. I run like a sloth through treacle but if I don’t I’m like a coiled spring waiting to explode. I also train at the gym and swim.

I also sew, sometimes

I go to a gardening group at the local park once a week. Very social and a great way to learn about local plants for my own green space.

I also do creative writing. It is more of a solitary hobby, but I go to a writing group every second week where we read out our stories and discuss them, so another good way to meet people in the area.
