Unblocked drain, is this normal?

Had someone out to unblock the rear drain hole in back garden.

They've blasted it clean I assume as there's shit water all over my garden. I don't know the process of how it's down but there's chunks of shit and the most foul smelling water all over.

I can't let my dogs out the back.

I'm a housing association tenant, I feel like if I was a private home owner and paid for it from my own pocket they wouldn't have left it like that?
He also came back through the house dripping the shit water along my hall, he could have gone out the back gate to leave! My son answered the door as I'm unwell today

Is this normal or a poor show?

I'd say that is bad workmanship! When I had mine unblocked years ago, I had the same; shit water and toilet roll all over the back garden... He hosed it all til it was all watered down and had virtually disappeared.
Sounds to me like your contractor was doing the least job for the most money to me I'm afraid. In these cases, it seems that if you're a tenant, contractors don't do the best job they could. My friend has had the same shoddy workmanship with her garden area, she's also a tenant.

No that’s not professional, it really is a poor show! Understand you’re not well.Personally l think l’d contact the housing association and let know what you experienced, you’re not happy, this is about health and safety.
If tenants don’t let them know, this will continue to happen.

Really poor service. We had a blocked drain a few months ago - poo and toilet paper all over the yard. The contractor we found came out (on a Sunday, within two hours!), unblocked it, hosed everything clean and changed his shoes and outer clothes before exiting through the house.
