Gift for hotel reception staff?

Anyone who works in a hotel able to help at all please? We have a favourite hotel which we go to very regularly, probably 4 or 5 times a year, and for the past few years have had a contact at the hotel who has always sorted our bookings for me, sorting special occasions and room upgrades for a good price etc. She has been amazing and so helpful over the years but we have never crossed paths because she doesn’t work directly on the reception desk and we’re usually there at weekends when she doesn’t work. In her most recent email she said maybe we would finally meet this time as we’re going during the week, and to ask for her on reception and she’ll come and say hello. So the question is would it be appropriate to get a small gift, for the whole team maybe, just some nice chocolates or something or not? I really don’t want it to seem like I’m bribing her for the great deals she does us but she has been so great over the years. So what do we think? Yay or nay?

I've heard they like slightly soiled chocolate oranges.

@ILookingLikeABeautifulDay In all seriousness though, I think that sounds like a lovely idea, it's a thankless job and the customers are often terrible. I'm sure a nice box of chocolates would go down well.

I have done that, one for her and a big box of chocolates for the whole team so they grab one whenever on duty. I think best of all will be the glowing thank you cards that go with them
