eBay postage - what do I need to know?

I’m going back to sell on EBay, and it’s been about 20 years since I last did it. I believe there’s been some changes and I need to be cautious, but I don’t know in what respect. Can someone give me an idiots guide for nowadays? Thanks

Best advice is to make sure that everything you send out is either signed for or tracked or both. You can use the Royal Mail Signed For service but it's quite pricey at £5.09 for a standard smallish parcel or Royal Mail Tracked 48 which is much more reasonable at £3.95. Bear in mind that signed for only offers compensation up to £50 whilst Tracked 48 it's £150. Anything above that value should be Special Delivery.
Evri is also an option but their list of prohibited or non-compensation items is long and excludes almost every bloody thing you might want to post.
