She probably needs to see a doc. Probably needs a steroid cream or may be thrush. I tried to treat my daughter for 3 weeks ended up using her hydrocortisone cream for eczema on it while waiting on appt. Then he gave her a steroid cream.

It may well be fungal so you'll need to ring the GP first thing tomorrow for an appt for a medicated cream
I would bathe, moisturise it with something v plain and neutral, metanium or sudocreme on top after moisturiser sunk in
Lots of nappy free time
Vaseline smothered all over bum as a barrier between her and her stools/wee to prevent stinging
How old is baby?

Keroppi · 23/10/2024 20:27

Oh just seen you've went to the GP
Ring again tomorrow and say it's not getting better and she's in pain. Maybe it is infected/fungal
And hopefully you can go back in tomorrow for them to look

Sudocrem?

Maybe try and manually remove the poo (I know, yuk, but sometimes it has to be done) with your finger and warm water

Sit her in a bowl of warm water, let her crunch her legs up and massage tummy whilst removing poo bit by bit

Quitelikeit · 23/10/2024 20:30

Gosh I remember when one of mine was constipated. The poop was dry as I’d ever seen

In the end an aunt advised Vaseline on a cotton bud - yuk!

re the rash I agree with others air her bottom as much as possible

Would yoghurt help as it has a nuetral ph

or a cool flannel? Or Luke warm?

RandomMess · 23/10/2024 20:31

Buy Sprilon spray it's designed for bedsores.

Are you cleaning with just water and air drying?

Is teething an issue, try teething granules to help make the wee/poo less acidic.

If constipation is an issue what do you think is causing it?

Quitelikeit · 23/10/2024 20:41

Yeh maybe the pee is super acidic so change bottom more often

bare in mind baby wipes can be very stingy so definitely do not use those at all - get a jug of water with a fresh towel to wipe
