Rice, pasta, milk, bread, cereal, chicken, cheese, eggs, tomatoes, broccoli, onion.

From spring to autumn lots of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, and water melon for the our tortoise 😁

Vettrianofan · 23/10/2024 08:16

Herbal teas especially peppermint and liquorice.

Verbena193 · 23/10/2024 08:26

Pancakes here too, my top tip is to make double or triple the batter. I have a large, glass milk bottle and store half in there for the next day, shake it up and pour.

Natsku · 23/10/2024 08:30

Bread. Nice healthy 100% rye bread for my bloke and my son - they eat it every day. Ultra processed terribly unhealthy gluten free bread for me and my daughter. Oh well.
Cheese, yoghurt, sweetcorn and peas are eaten pretty much every day.
A lot of tea is consumed, but almost entirely by me (DS sometimes has some)

MrSeptember · 23/10/2024 08:30

Bananas. Eggs. I am not convinced any family on yhe planet gets through as many as we do!

GiftWrappedSuburbanDreams · 23/10/2024 08:30

Daily staples would be eggs, avocado's, cheese, bananas, oats
Lots more, but these are what get eaten pretty much everyday

Sandandsea123 · 23/10/2024 08:32

california22 · 23/10/2024 08:39

Daal and rice, meat curry, grilled salmon and salad

TossedSaladandSE · 23/10/2024 08:40

I always have coffee beans, tea and plum tomatoes, tomato purée, sugar, kidney beans sparking water, sunflower oil, vinegar, butter and porridge oats which I top up regularly

california22 · 23/10/2024 08:41

I think I got this wrong as staple dishes! Then it would be porridge, milk, avocado, bread, eggs

vincettenoir · 23/10/2024 08:41

Dhal, great shout, I think I’ll have that tonight. I could eat it everyday. I always try to batch cook but then overeat it so I don’t have much for leftovers.

Philodendron · 23/10/2024 08:42

Brioche, pasta, porridge, apples and bananas

ThatAgileGoldMoose · 23/10/2024 08:46

LadyEggs · 23/10/2024 07:19

I'd like to say tomatoes, quinoa, rye bread and spring water.

But it's crisps, cheese, white bread, lunchables and wine.

😁

It IS quinoa for me, due to various health stuff pasta and rice aren't suitable.

I reckon if I had to choose a few things to have in stock for a zombie apocalypse, quinoa, good coffee, vegetable stock powder and tofu would probably see us through. Oh god that sounds very middle class

Weird question that's not meant to be rude, but do you do anything to avoid getting bored with dhal?

I like it, but once every 6 months or a year is plenty for me, I find it incredibly dull. Tried a few recipes, still feel the same about it. Yet I love a simple chickpea curry!
I want to like it better!

PizzaNinja · 23/10/2024 08:51

Yogurt & eggs (not at the same time).

ABCDCBA · 23/10/2024 08:56

Cheese, butter, white bread, crackers, salmon, eggs, melon, and salt and vinegar crisps

BunnyLake · 23/10/2024 08:59

Pasta, rice, noodles, soy sauce, Greek yoghurt, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, chicken breasts, eggs and if the supermarket stocks it, a bag of sofritto which I like to have in the freezer.
