Another Aberystwyth One! Where to Eat?

Hello again,

Cant wait to see DS this weekend.

If you saw my previous thread, we decided to visit anyway this week and he’ll see Venom in the future with friends.

We’d like to take him out to eat for some lovely pub grub.

Has anyone got any good recommendations for in or around Aberystwyth? We’re actually staying the night near Devils Bridge so doesn’t have to be in the town.

Many thanks!

Hafod Hotel in Devil's Bridge https://thehafod.co.uk/ does good food as does Y Ffarmers in Llanfihangel y Creuddyn which is not too far from DB https://yffarmers.co.uk/ . If you'd rather stay in town to eat, there's The Glengower on the Consti end of the prom which does good 'pub grub', Baravin https://baravin.co.uk/en/home/ again on the prom but nearer the Pier is great as is Medina in Market Street https://shop.medina-aberystwyth.co.uk/.

Hopefully the prom will have been cleared of all the sand, small stones and seaweed that's been covering it after the storm at the weekend 😉

The Hafod - Restaurant and Hotel in Devil's Bridge

Enjoy a visit to The Hafod Hotel, overlooking the Devils Bridge Waterfalls. Offering stylish rooms, a restaurant, bar and much more.

Enjoy your weekend. We tend to go to Hafod or Yr Ffarmers most as they're the closest to us. If you get a chance to come or go home via the Elan Valley mountain road it's well worth it - staying in Devil's Bridge you're on the doorstep. A little hairy as you leave Cwmystwyth and start climbing up towards the Powys border, but stunning views and plenty of passing places.

Well we have the week off, so we can be quite leisurely about how we spend our weekend, and my husband loves to drive and see the sights. I will definitely suggest that route to him.

We’ve looked at some of the menus and so far I think Hafod is definitely looking like a good choice.

Thank you for all of the recommendations. We would probably have ended up eating at McDonald’s if we didn’t know where to book 😂
