Struggling to think of an actor I would cast rather than the dark haired chap that is playing him in Rivals, but maybe that's the point - he is sooo perfect his likeness doesn't exist

Back when Riders first came out I pictured someone like Dolph Lungdren.

Every episode I've watched I keep thinking but you're not blonde !!! Deffo not my idea of RCB what about Daniel Craig ..

At the end of the day Jlly Cooper was one of the producers so she's obviously happy that the casting is accurate

I think Matt Smith would have played him perfectly but three episodes in I'm totally sold on Alex Hassell.... I think he's done a fantastic job in a part that is a LOT to live up to.

I agree with you. I thought he looked like a lecherous cross between Buzz and Woody at first but Alex has let the warmth and vulnerability shine through even while being a bit of a sod. When he’s laughing, he!s very attractive.

Are you serious? He's tall, imposing, fair haired & very capable of playing an aristocrat, he was excellent in the Crown as Prince Phillip!

Have read more of the thread now def agree that he should be blonde but the balance between arrogance and smug has to be right.

Many of the characters would benefit from being a bit more voluptuous- Tony Baddingham and definitely Freddie and Lizzie!
