Evening, just a bit of a silly one really but I’ve always been curious, are most mums netters similar to those in the likes of made in Chelsea.

I mean the lifestyle some of you talk about not to mention the food you eat, cars you drive, price of your house and schools your dc attend / holidays etc.

Oh and husbands with fancy jobs and a large tax brackets to boot.

Personally I think I’m more only way is Essex 😂

They may not be "posh" in an old fashioned way but they aren't exactly salt of the earth, just about managing, on the breadline types either.

Mumsnet is actually a bit comforting that way! In real life, I don't really fit anywhere but on here, I relate to EVERYONE! which is probably why I spend so much time scrolling on here

Considering the amount of vitriol aimed at the people who talk about these things and the crab bucket mentality shown by a lot of people here I would say the posh ones are a loud minority.

I'm WC and I agree it seems to be majority MC women who use MN.

It’s probably fantasy and made up, or they are in other countries, cos a large amount of the UK housing is council estates and a lot of people are on universal credit

It's not really money that makes someone posh. It's more their upbringing and education. I think a lot of MNetters are 1st generation wealthy. As in they've had more opportunities to do well than their parents did. Or they've married well.

It is their children who are the future posh ones.

I'm just run-of-the-mill working class married to a smart-arse.
